A Steveston restaurant has kicked off a new “Hong Kong Concept Café”, which will operate one day a week for the next few months.
The Chef’s Playground Eatery, on No. 1 Road just south of Moncton Street, announced the opening on social media last week.
Starting today, April 24, the eatery’s Hong Kong café will be on offer every Monday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. until Aug. 28.
Among the items on the new Hong Kong menu are empress peanut butter toast, Hong Kong café breakfast (including honey soy sausages) and deep fried lava French toast.
A number of special drinks will also be on offer, including the likes of Hong Kong milk tea, Hong Kong coffee and yeunyeung, which is a blend of the aforementioned tea and coffee.
