The suspect remains in custody.
Richmond Provincial Court 2

One man has been arrested in an alleged residential break-and-enter incident earlier this month.

According to Richmond RCMP, Amine Benbihi has been charged with one count of break and enter following an incident on Jan. 11 when police were called to the 6400 block of Livingstone Place, near Granville Avenue and No. 2 Road.

Cpl. Adriana O'Malley, media liaison officer at Richmond RCMP, said the property crime unit was also involved due to an increase of residential homes being broken into in the area.

After a bail hearing in provincial court, Benbihi was detained and remains in custody.

Benbihi was also arrested and charged with breaking and entering another residential home last summer near No. 3 and Francis roads.

We are dedicated to investigating these crimes and holding offenders accountable for their actions, said Cpl.Corporal Ryan Lee with the Richmond RCMP Property Crime Unit.

Our team, along with our Criminal Analysis Unit, reviews and analyzes all reported property-related offences to assist in identifying potential suspects and to bring charges against those responsible.

Richmond RCMP continues to investigate break and enter cases reported in the neighbourhood southwest of Gilbert Road and Granville Avenue.

Anyone with information regarding these offences is asked to contact Richmond RCMP at 604-278-1212.
