Two Richmond men have been arrested after a residential break-and-enter earlier this month.

Whindyll Villalon Jordan, 31, and Hoang Huu Vuu, 34, were each charged with one count of break-and-enter after an incident in the 8000-block of Heather Street in Richmond.

Richmond RCMP officers responded to a call shortly after 6:30 a.m. on March 8 when the owner of the home heard intruders in the house.

The suspects fled before police arrived but they were found nearby in a U-Haul truck and arrested “without incident,” reads an RCMP statement.

The statement added that “evidentiary items” were recovered, which included alleged break-in tools.

“This homeowner recognized something unusual was going on, and contacted 911 immediately. Coupled with the quick, decisive and coordinated efforts by our frontline officers, the two suspects were located and arrested,” said Cpl. Dennis Hwang, media relations officer for the Richmond RCMP.
