The Coastal Renaissance was brought into service at 10:30 this morning to sail to Tsawwassen, after the Spirit of British Columbia’s 9 a.m. sailing out of Swartz Bay was cancelled due to mechanical problems.
B.C. Ferries advises customers to watch the corporation’s website for updates regarding the Spirit of British Columbia’s scheduled 1 p.m., 5 p.m. and 9 p.m. sailings out of Swartz Bay.
The Coastal Celebration, however, continues to provide regular service between Tsawwassen and Swartz Bay. The Coastal Celebration leaves Swartz Bay for the mainland today at 11 a.m., 3 p.m. and 7 p.m.
Meanwhile, the MV Klitsa, which sails between Mill Bay and Brentwood Bay, is 45 minutes behind due to a mechanical difficulty, said B.C. Ferries. There was an earlier problem with the vessel’s fire alarm panel.
