The George Massey Tunnel has re-opened after a vehicle was engulfed in flames on Sunday afternoon.
A semi-truck had caught on fire and blocked the right northbound lane of Highway 99, just outside of the George Massey Tunnel, around 2:30 p.m. on June 7.
The tunnel was closed briefly in both directions and has since re-opened two southbound lanes and one northbound lane.
Fire crew was spotted at the time of the incident
Northbound traffic on Highway 99 is currently backed up to Highway 17A, while southbound traffic is backed up past Steveston Highway.
