A 54-year-old Surrey man reported missing on Sunday afternoon has been located and is safe, according to Richmond RCMP.

A 54-year-old Surrey man reported missing on Sunday afternoon has been located and is safe, according to Richmond RCMP.

Michael Cork was last seen tent camping near Vancouver International Airport on June 5 and had the police "concerned for his safety and well-being."

Richmond RCMP announced Wednesday afternoon that he was located and “safe” and thanked the public and media for their help in finding Cork.

Richmond RCMP is asking for the public’s help to find a 54-year-old Surrey man.

Michael Cork was last seen tent camping near Vancouver International Airport (YVR) on June 5.

Cork is described as a five feet, eight inches tall Caucasian man with brown hair and blue eyes. Items that he is known to have on him are a red and white flat-bottomed kayak and a blue tent.

“The police are concerned with Michael’s safety and well-being,” said Cpl. Dennis Hwang, the Richmond RCMP spokesperson.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Cork is asked to immediately contact their local police.
