There’s been a COVID-19 exposure at a Richmond elementary school.

A letter was sent out Wednesday to the parents of Walter Lee elementary students, informing them of the exposure.

Vancouver Coastal Health has contacted anyone identified as being a close contact, and has required them to self-isolate, according to the letter.

“At this time, there is no evidence to suggest there has been any exposure to the wider staff or student community,” the letter reads.

However, the health authority has since added Walter Lee to its school exposures webpage, with potential exposure dates of Oct. 19 to 21.

Areas of the school that may have been affected by the exposure have been deep cleaned, according to Richmond School District’s health and safety protocols, according to the letter.
