Hot deal alert: You can fly to Vancouver from these cities for a $1 base fare

The $1 deal applies to numerous routes across the continent.

Canada's ultra-low-cost carrier is offering a jaw-dropping deal to kick off the last week of August.

Flair Airlines is launching its $1 base fare initiative, featuring select northbound routes from Mexico, the U.S., Jamaica, and the Dominican Republic to Canada at only $1. The deal is ideal for travellers returning from sun destinations to their home cities or other places across Canada for a visit.

The airline says it will continue to offer the $1 base fare deal on various routes on its network throughout the year.

Flair Airlines CEO Maciej Wilk says the new offer is not a "limited-time gimmick but a sustained commitment to offering unparalleled affordability" across the airline's entire network.

Wilk noted that base fares are only part of the total fare and hopes airports, particularly in Canada, "will follow suit and lower their fees so that more people can be empowered to travel.”
