A brazen porch pirate strolled up to a home in Richmond and stole packages off the doorstep – all while the house was fully occupied and multiple vehicles were in the driveway.
The theft happened on the evening of April 5, at around 9:45 p.m., in the neighbourhood near Kidd Elementary, close to Steveston Highway and Shell road.
The homeowner, Jennifer Gordon, believes the parcels were dropped off about 8:15 p.m. the same evening.
Doorbell video
She posted a doorbell video of the theft on social media, which shows the masked thief in a sleeveless jacket and ball cap casually walking up to the door, pretending to ring the bell, then walking off with the packages.
Gordon, who thinks the thief was a male disguised as a female, didn’t report the theft to police.
