The Chinese Restaurant Awards are celebrating their 10th anniversary in 2018, and as always, there is an opportunity for eaters across the city to take part via the Diners’ Choice categories.
This year there are a handful of new categories in the mix for Diners’ Choice votes: Best Peking Duck, Best Shanghainese Stir Fry Egg White, Best Sichuan Mouthwatering Chicken, and Best Spring Rolls. Those new categories join the standard array, which includes things like Best Hot Pot Restaurant, Best Hong Kong-style Café, Best Congee and Noodle Restaurant, Best Food Court Stall, Best New Restaurant, Best Cantonese Restaurant, Best Dim Sum Restaurant, and many more.
The nomination period for Diners’ Choice is open now, and voting begins February 5. Winners will be revealed on March 5.
In addition to Diners’ Choice, the Chinese Restaurant Awards feature the Critics’ Choice Signature Dish categories, which are decided on by a panel of local food personalities. Those winners will be announced–and everyone honoured–at an event and awards ceremony in May.
