It was a big weekend for the Richmond Field Hockey Club as it played host to 26 teams at the B.C. Field Hockey U13 Club Championships.
The two-day event was played at Minoru Park which was divided up into three “mini-fields” for the jamboree format. The girls division featured 18 teams while another eight competed on the boys side.
The emphasis was on participation and continued development at this age level. Each game featured four seven-minute quarters. The girls teams played six games in total, while the boys played four.
