A junior Kajaks track and field club athlete won three gold medals at the B.C. Junior Development Track and Field Championship last weekend.
Richmond-based club athlete Seylah Bains, 10, took home gold in the girl's 60-metre hurdles, high jump and shot put events during the championships held in South Surrey from July 26 to 28.
Bains also won second place in both discus with 14.29 metres and long jump with 3.45 metres.
The 10-year-old boys 4x100 relay, Welkin Sham, Ronin Shute, Michae Chang and Austin Ip won gold.
Meanwhile, the 12-year-old 4x100 relay won silver with Armaan Varma-Vitug, Jake Cheng, Mason Dahl and Oliver Ly on the team
