Richmond's Lukas Dragicevic is one of the players to watch for the 2023 NHL Draft according to NHL Central Scouting.
According to a news release, six-foot-two, right-shot defenseman Dragicevic is listed as a B-ranked skater in preliminary rankings, indicating he is a potential second-or-third round selection for the NHL just after A-ranked skaters.
Dragicevic, who plays for the Tri-City Americans, is currently in his second full season in the Western Hockey League (WHL). He was drafted fourth overall by the Americans in 2020 after scoring 52 points (8-44-52) with the U15 Delta Hockey Academy Green team, where he was briefly coached by his dad.
During his first full-time WHL season in 2021-2022, Dragicevic scored 32 points (6-26-32) in 62 games and was the highest-scoring 2005-born defenseman. He is currently tied with Vancouver's Mazden Leslie for the 2005-born defenseman scoring lead with 11 points through his first ten games of the 2022-2023 season.
Dragicevic was also one of four 2005-born defensemen on Hockey Canada's roster for the World Under-18 Hockey Championship, where he scored three points (1-2-3) in four games.
