U14 Renegades conclude terrific season at provincials in Duncan

Richmond Renegades concluded their season at the recent U14C Provincial Championships in Duncan.

The U14 Renegades capped a terrific season by becoming the first team from the Richmond Girls Softball Association to advance to Softball B.C.’s  Provincial “C” Championships in over decade.

The Renegades made their way to Duncan where they received a steady diet of teams from throughout B.C. in what proved to be a highly competitive tournament. After battling 15 other teams, Richmond concluded play in the Silver Division.

The level of ball was excellent with the top teams being of “B” calibre, including eventual champion Prince George.

Temperatures soared past 35C throughout the weekend but the girls still kept their spirits high and had a great time to conclude their season in memorable fashion.

The Renegades include: Abby Holmquist, Alex Kucher, Alyssa Daniels, Jade Lore, Johanna Baskette, Katie Joyce, Lauren Mackay, Libby Kiesman, Marea Forgeron, Maya Anand, Miya Kinzie-Park, Rowan O’Toole, Saoirse McDonald-Lepur, Sarah Mackay and Stephanie Kent. The coaches are:  Jann Maire Forgeron, Greg Daniels, Don O’Toole and Jim Kent.
