A fourth Richmond elementary school has been notified of a COVID-19 exposure this week.
A letter was sent to parents of William Bridge elementary students on Wednesday informing them of the exposure in their school community.
The school said they cannot provide any more details due to privacy reason, but are working closely with the Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH) to determine if there are any potential exposures to other members.
Three other Richmond elementary schools – McNeely, Spul’u’kwuks and R.J. Tait – also reported of COVID-19 exposures this week.
VCH has contacted anyone identified as being a close contact and has required them to self-isolate.
William Bridge’s letter added that “there is no evidence to suggest there has been any exposure to the wider staff or student community” at this time.
“The health and safety of our students, families, and staff remains our highest priority,” reads the letter.
The school has undergone a deep clean in accordance with the district’s health and safety protocols in the areas which may have been impacted.
