COVID-19 exposure notices have been sent out to two Richmond elementary schools.
There was an exposure to the virus at Spul’u’kwuks elementary on Oct. 28, according to a letter sent by Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH) to the school on Monday.
“If public health has determined you may have been a close contact, you will receive a call from public health,” the letter reads.
Anyone who has not been contacted directly by public health is advised to self-monitor for symptoms for 14 days.
Meanwhile, also on Monday, a letter was sent to parents of McNeely elementary students, informing them of an exposure to the virus.
However, no dates were specified in that letter.
The school said it cannot provide specific details for privacy reasons.
“VCH has contacted anyone identified as being a close contact and has required them to self-isolate,” reads the McNeely letter.
“At this time, there is no evidence to suggest there has been any exposure to the wider staff and student community.”
Areas of the school that may have been affected have been deep-cleaned, according to the letter.
