Another Richmond school has been added to Vancouver Coastal Health’s list of school exposures.
R.C. Palmer secondary was added to the list on Wednesday. The health authority reported Oct. 22 as a potential exposure date.
Exposure notices are posted when a staff member or student tests positive for COVID-19, and public health is unable to “directly reach all close contacts in a timely manner,” according to a statement posted on VCH’s school exposures webpage.
A letter and/or a public notification is issued in the event that health officials are unable to directly reach all close contacts.
“If you or your child has been identified as a positive COVID-19 case or close contact, be assured that VCH’s public health team will contact you directly and provide further information,” the statement reads.
“A notification does not mean your child has been exposure to COVID-19. If you do not receive a phone call or letter from Public Health, your child should continue to attend school.”
