BRANTFORD, Ont. — The Brantford Red Sox of the Intercounty Baseball League are making all 21 of their home games free to "reverse the tariffs."

The Red Sox say the ticket giveaway is a symbolic gesture to remove financial barriers and reinforce the spirit of unity and mutual appreciation between Canada and the United States.
Terry Smith, the team's new owner, says he decided to make admission free to Arnold Anderson Stadium in Brantford, Ont., to celebrate the 114-year legacy of the Red Sox.
Smith also sees this as an opportunity to highlight the enduring friendship between Canada and the United States.
Hockey great Wayne Gretzky, who is from Brantford and has played for Canada in several international competitions, has come under fire for his support of Trump.
