The Editor,
Mayor Malcolm Brodie says Richmonds immediate priorities include pursuing an aggressive affordable-housing strategy.
Then lets see rental buildings and condos built with good enough plain floors and inexpensive arborite counters instead of Berber carpets and granite counters.
Plus, lets see more granny flats and coach houses.
I cant bear to see one more luxury condo development ad that doesnt even mention price in the paper.
As J.P. Morgan said, If you have to ask the price, you cant afford it.
For years, Ive listened to politicians promise more affordable housing (defined by the Canadian Mortgage and Housing Corp. as no more than one third of ones income), while unaffordability increases.
