It's 'Merry Christmas' not 'Happy Holidays'

The Editor,

The Christmas season is upon us and the malls have started their Christmas decorations to get shoppers in the mood to spend money to celebrate Christmas Day on Dec. 25.

It is my hope that the powers that be at these malls will honour the Canadian tradition, so that there will be some Merry Christmas posters and signs around the malls and in the store windows.

Happy Holidays just does not go well with Christmas, especially since Santa will be around and Santa is a Christmas tradition.
