Letter: Comox Coast Guard cuts put lives at sea off Richmond in danger

Dear Editor,

The federal Liberal MP for Steveston - Richmond East, Joe Peschisolido, is no friend of the commercial fishing fleet in Steveston.

He and his fellow B.C. Liberal MPs okayed more cuts to the Coast Guard’s SAR resources. 

Peshisolido okayed the May 10 closure to the Canadian Coast Guard Comox Communications Station.

With this closure, if you are in trouble out on the water, your distress call will be harder to make out and could be subject to “communications blackouts.”

You can thank your Liberal MP, Peschisolido, for putting your life in jeopardy.
