Dear Editor,
Along the northern end of Cooney Road is a bike path of the kind I’ve always pleaded for.
It’s not shared with cars, buses and trucks but is physically separated from the road by a boulevard. It was a condition of the development permit granted for construction of the tower known as The Grand.
Unfortunately, it runs for just half a block. If only Richmond’s other roads could be retrofitted with a dedicated bike path like this one. I ride my bike to run errands, but I’m terrified of sharing a road with cars the size of boats.
