Richmond - The Editor, I agree with Chak Au's stand that we have a responsibility to preserve, restore and protect our land.When I first arrived in Richmond 20 years ago, it was a peaceful agricultural community just south of a busy, noisy and polluted Vancouver.Today, I don't see much difference between Vancouver and Richmond.Agricultural land is being destroyed and replaced with highrises and high density townhouses. Traffic is gettingworse every year Now, Walmart wants to destroy more land. I have a question for the council, "which strawberries taste better, locally grown or the ones imported from California?"Manuel MeloRichmond
