The Editor,
Re: "City plans trip down electric avenue," News, Sept 12.
An interesting report in the Sept 12 issue concerning the city installing five charging stations for hybrid vehicles.
According to the quote from Suzanne Bycraft, the city's manager of fleet and environmental programs, "This will allow the public, those who own electric vehicles, to charge them in the city."
This raises many questions, perhaps the most important of which is, will the vehicle owners pay for the use of such stations on a full cost recovery basis?
I hope the Richmond News will pursue this and provide more details.
