Specsavers Terra Nova

Specsavers Terra Nova is proud to offer affordable, high-quality eyewear and care to the community of Richmond.
Locally owned by Sharon Lee and Dr. Darshan Singh Matharu (who runs the independent optometric clinic within the location), the team is committed to making eyecare and eyewear accessible to everyone.
Eye exams are key to maintaining your overall eye health and can even indicate what’s going on with your general health, too. Many eye conditions, like glaucoma and macular degeneration, can progress significantly without any noticeable symptoms and sometimes lead to permanent vision changes.
The good news is that optometrists can check for signs of these conditions, as well as other health conditions like diabetes and high blood pressure, during an eye exam. That's why regular eye exams are so important.
At the clinic inside Specsavers Terra Nova, senior and children’s eye exams are covered by MSP for those eligible. Standard eye exams start at just $99–including optical coherence tomography (OCT) scans at no extra cost to patients. OCT provides a detailed 3D scan of the eye and its layers, which can help optometrists to detect certain eye conditions in their early stages.
Dr. Darshan Singh Matharu and Sharon Lee also spend time in the community, providing educational workshops about the importance of regular eye exams and common eye disorders that become more prevalent with age.
Visit Specsavers Terra Nova in person or book an appointment online to take advantage of their latest offers and eye care services.
Eye exams are provided by independent optometrists. Additional charges may apply for other optometric services dependent on the patient’s health requirements. Such additional charges may be covered by provincial health care plans for eligible patients.
