As 2024 comes to a close, I’d like to share my deepest gratitude to our donors for the care and commitment you have shown towards health care in Richmond. You have made a significant impact in advancing and improving health care access and services in our community, and it brings us great joy to see many donor families also include their children in their philanthropy.
Our donors and their families are the driving force behind all that’s been made possible, and we are all incredibly grateful for what you do.
I’d like to highlight three achievements from this past year:
- Increased patient access to important diagnostic equipment including a new MRI machine and 3D mammography
- Acquisition of a new CT scanner that will be in service early 2025
- Making possible a new, dedicated space in the Emergency Department for people experiencing mental health concerns or crises, opening next summer
Philanthropic support from donors makes all this possible
Progress continues on the future of health care in Richmond, with demolition almost complete for the commencement of the Yurkovich Family Pavilion, acute care tower, construction.
As we look to 2025, we’re inspired by the possibilities that lie ahead for the future of health care in Richmond. Incredible accomplishments are achieved when we come together.
Thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for the community’s care and support. Together, we are making Richmond better for you, your family, your friends and colleagues.
Wishing you and your loved ones a joyous holiday season and a healthy and fulfilling new year.
With joy and gratitude,
Natalie D. Meixner
P.S. Donor families have come together to match donations up to a total of $100,000 in December. If you wish to donate again and increase your impact on individuals and families in Richmond, please know that we are so grateful! Your kindness and generosity changes lives.
