Selection. Convenience. Price.
Those are just some of the benefits Liquor Town at Blundell Centre has provided customers since it opened in 2006.
And now that summer is in full swing, staff at the store are ready to make your next big gathering, or even just a quiet and relaxing time at home, easy to stock with your favourite beverages, including some of the most popular, locally produced craft beers.
“While we are not as big as some of the larger government-run liquor stores that carry a wider selection than us, we pride ourselves on offering a wide variety of locally-made products,” says Louise Williams, store manager at Liquor Town.
“And that includes the great craft breweries around Richmond, Ladner and Tsawwassen, rather than branching out to those from, say, Ontario.”
Among those local products found on Liquor Town’s shelves are Barnside Brewing and Four Winds (South Delta) and Parallel 49 (east Vancouver).
There are also selections from popular craft breweries located on Vancouver Island, such as Driftwood Brewery and Phillips Brewing & Malting Co.
“While those craft producers may all have their own tasting rooms, it’s not always convenient for people to visit, so we stock those products here for customers to try and enjoy,” Williams says, adding Liquor Town is always responsive to what customers want and can alter stock depending on demand.
“We are always listening to our customers and their suggestions,” Williams says. “Convenience, friendly staff and competitive pricing are a big plus at Liquor Town.”
“We look forward to re-introducing our in-store tastings of featured products as indoor restrictions are lifted over the summer,” Williams adds.
Liquor Town is open seven days a week from 9 a.m. to 11 p.m.
