Fun fact about Richmond...
Do you know where most of the demolition waste from the Lower Mainland goes?
When a house is torn down in the Greater Vancouver area, it's almost always trucked to the 148-acre Ecowaste Industries site in east Richmond - located at the end of No. 6 Road. Ecowaste has been operating for 50 years in Richmond.
Parts of Ecowaste's lands are already full and their property branch, Montrose, is building an industrial park on the closed portion of the landfill.
Their master plan is to have three million square feet of industrial space in 12 buildings.
