Vancouver Cantonese Opera Society will be hosting a free concert in celebration of Chinese New Year.
Ten artists with the society will be dressed in traditional formal attire to perform short Cantonese opera arias and Chinese New Year folk songs on Jan. 25.
The family-friendly concert welcomes the community to ring in the Year of the Rat.
The concert will take place at the Richmond Cultural Centre atrium room, 7700 Minoru Gate, from 2 to 3:30 p.m.
