Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH) has added more potential COVID-19 exposure dates for McKay elementary to its online list of school exposures.
A school “exposure” is when someone with the virus was at the school during their infectious period, states VCH’s website.
According to the latest update, there was an exposure at McKay on Dec. 10 to 11, Dec. 14 and Dec. 16 to 18.
Previously, the health authority only listed Dec. 10 to 11 and Dec. 14 as exposure dates at the school.
There was also an exposure to the virus at Steveston-London secondary on Nov. 24 to 26 and Dec. 17 to 18.
Steveston-London has previously been flagged for exposures, which occurred on Nov. 2 to 6 and Nov. 13, according to VCH. Families were also notified of a possible exposure in a letter sent out by the school on Oct. 14.
