New Richmond Japanese barbecue restaurant opens Monday

Newest all-you-can-eat barbecue restaurant enters Richmond food scene

A long-awaited Ontario-based Japanese barbecue spot is finally opening in Richmond this week.

Gyubee Japanese Grill announced on its website and Instagram account it will be opening its doors on Oct. 21.

The all-you-can-eat barbecue restaurant offers a variety of barbecue meat and vegetable items as well as sushi, chicken wings and Korean food items.

Its menu also has desserts such as creme brulee, soft-serve ice cream and non-alcoholic and alcoholic drinks.

The restaurant chain has eight locations in Ontario and one in Quebec with Richmond marking its first B.C. outpost.

Gyubee will be open every day from noon to 11 p.m. at unit 50 - 8100 Ackroyd Rd.
