It was party time Wednesday afternoon (June 21) for all the kids at Ferris elementary school, thanks to a Richmond Cares Richmond Gives/Vancouver Foundation neighbourhood grant.
Hundreds of people in the neighbourhood enjoyed an outdoor concert by the school band and ate snacks under the sun.
“This is an opportunity to celebrate the end of the school year, the beginning of the summer and to bring the community together,” said organizer and parent Naoko Watanabe.
