Firefighting career info session planned in Richmond

People interested in a career in firefighting can learn more at an event on Jan. 29.

Are you interested in being a firefighter?

A hybrid event will be put on by SUCCESS Richmond for anyone interested in a career in firefighting in Richmond.

The Jan. 29 presentation, which will be in English, will provide insights into career opportunities with Richmond Fire-Rescue, led by the fire department's program manager Marissa Joel.

Information will include an overview of Richmond’s fire department, career opportunities and current available positions, prerequisites and skill requirements, and an introduction to Richmond Fire-Rescue’s hiring guide.

Those interested can attend either virtually or in-person in the community room on the second floor of the Brighouse library branch, 7700 Minoru Gate.

There are 15 seats available for the in-person "Meeting Employer: Richmond Fire-Rescue" event, which takes place Wednesday, Jan. 29, from 10 to 11:30 a.m.
