Do you know what bird is closely associated with the City of Richmond?
According to the city's website, there is no wild animal more closely associated with the city than the great blue heron.
The long-legged bird is a common sight along the dikes and ditches in Richmond, but in "stylized form" it is found on many city documents, signage, vehicles and more.
