The Vancouver Artopia Youth Society raised and donated $10,000 for Richmond Hospital's Medical Imaging Centre Campaign.

The Artopia International Youth Arts contest, in its seventh year, aims to inspire the next generation through art and reminds youth of the act of giving back.

"The success of this event is a testament to the enthusiastic participation of art studios, teachers, children and their families, as well as the commitment of our volunteers,” said Katya Gao, chair of the Artopia International Youth Art Contest 2024 committee.

“We are proud of the young talent who have dedicated their artistic expression to enhancing health care in Richmond, and thankful to all the supporters for their time and generosity.”

Spencer Gall, chief philanthropy officer of Richmond Hospital Foundation said the art contest is meaningful and showcases talent and community generosity.

"The funds raised will help increase access and advance the medical imaging technologies our health care team needs for this growing community. We are grateful to everyone involved for helping us build a healthier future in Richmond," said Gall.
