Nominations open for 2025 Richmond Heritage Awards

The city wants to recognize individuals and organizations preserving Richmond's heritage places and history.

Community members can now nominate someone or an organization that has made an impact in preserving or sharing Richmond's heritage.

The Richmond Heritage Commission is accepting nominations for the 2025 Richmond Heritage Awards.

Many people play a personal role in preserving and sharing the stories of Richmond's heritage places and rich history, and he city wants to recognize these people and organizations.

Some of the ways an individual or organization may earn recognition are by:

  • conserving a historic building or cultural landscape
  • promoting heritage awareness through education, outreach or advocacy
  • contributing to local heritage knowledge through public history or interpretation projects

Anyone can submit a nomination by completing a one-page nomination form outlining the nominee's contribution.

The nomination form is available online at richmond.ca/HeritageAwards.

The application deadline is Sunday, May 18.
