Richmond's Kajaks Track and Field Club is hosting a family pub night this Sunday to fundraise for new sports equipment.
The club needs multiple new starter blocks to replace the old ones that "have seen the signs of times."
These starter blocks are essential for the club's sprint training programs that also benefit the Richmond School District zone meets, according to Ianie Man with the Kajaks.
Kajaks family pub night will take place at the Buck and Ear Pub on Sunday, Feb. 16 from 5 to 9 p.m. with kids welcome in the pub until 8 p.m.
There will be games, a silent auction and a 50/50 draw.
Tickets are $25 each and will cover one beef burger, chips and one drink.
For those interested, tickets can be reserved online, by e-transfer or by cash on designated ticket days.
