Richmond is home to many urban wildlife animals, but one resident has been greeted by a pair of unique-looking ducks while on his regular morning strolls lately.
Cam Varcoe was walking in Minoru Park when a pair of black and white ducks appeared out of nowhere one morning and has since been in the park for several weeks now.
“In all my 20 years living in (Richmond), I had never seen anything looking like these two animals,” said Varcoe, adding that they were "not aggressive at all."
The ducks, he said, was not afraid of humans and would lounge on the grass and watch people pass by.
“I’m curious to know where they came from and if other community members know what type of ducks they are.”
