Several areas of Richmond will experience power outages as BC Hydro has scheduled repair and replacement work.
BC Hydro plans regular power outages to perform work on equipment or power lines that require them to be de-energized, according to its website.
“By planning the outage and doing the necessary work, our crews can prevent a potential unplanned emergency outage in the future, where a part of the system unexpectedly fails or malfunctions,” says BC Hydro's website.
Here are the power outages scheduled for this week:
Jan. 6 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Planned work on BC Hydro equipment will affect 27 customers at:
- 7000 and 7011 Williams Rd.
Jan. 6 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Planned work on BC Hydro equipment will affect 27 customers at:
- 23251, 23280 and 23288 Fraserwood Way.
Jan. 6 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Planned work on BC Hydro equipment will affect 21 customers at:
- 9633 Steveston Hwy.
Jan. 6 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Planned work on BC Hydro equipment will affect 19 customers at:
- (Unit 1 to 17) 8620 Railway Ave.
Jan. 6 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Planned work on BC Hydro equipment will affect eight customers at:
- 10640, 10660, 10680, 10700, 10731, 10751, 10771 and 10791 Rosebrook Rd.
Jan. 6 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Planned work on BC Hydro equipment will affect fewer than five customers at:
- 15040 Williams Rd.
Jan. 9 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Planned work on BC Hydro equipment will affect fewer than five customers at:
- 10811 Bridgeport Rd.
Jan. 10 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Pole replacement work will affect 22 customers at:
- 11080, 11100 and 11120 Bridgeport Rd.
