Housing accessibility may be a challenge for some in Richmond, but the city is at least trying to make the community more welcoming for our feathered friends.
New nesting boxes have recently been installed at Terra Nova Park, along the west dyke, and at least one tree swallow has moved into their new home.
According to a video posted by Twitter handle @pnwkate, the swallow was seen happily making its home in the nesting box.
“Oh, oh, oh - look who is making a home in the brand new nesting boxes recently installed at Terra Nova - tree swallows. With soundtrack by red-winged blackbird boy choir and YVR International Airport blues band,” the Twitter read.
