Richmond Public Library (RPL) is celebrating the end of another summer reading club this weekend.

More than 3,700 Richmond kids tracked their reading progress during the annual Summer Reading Club this year.

RPL is having a family-friendly event celebrating the children’s reading achievements with guest appearances, games and activities at the Brighouse library on Sept. 10 from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m.

Children can enjoy hands-on, literacy-themed activities, speak to reading club artist Jeni Chen and take part in games.

“BC Summer Reading Club inspires kids to keep reading and engaging with books all summer long,” said Kate Adams, head of children and family services at RPL.

“The library is excited to invite everyone to join in the celebration of the achievements and dedication of this year’s participants.”
