A travel agency that customizes vacations and makes travel arrangements for people with disabilities, seniors and slow walkers, is coming to Richmond to host an event.
The event is called #ThriveWorldwide, which will take place on Saturday, Dec. 1 to celebrate United Nations International Day for Persons with Disabilities.
“It’s a day to celebrate inclusion and highlight the many organizations who support people with disabilities in various ways,” said in a Travel for All press release.
“If we can normalize inclusion around the world, people will no longer be ‘different,’ – just differently-abled.
"Together we can make this event historical for both Canada and the city of Richmond.”
The free event will kick off at 5 p.m. at the Ukrainian Community Centre, 5311 Francis Road, and last till 7:30 p.m. Attendees are asked to register online in advance.
