A well-known and popular donut shop is opening a location in Steveston.
Lee's Donuts will be opening this summer at Imperial Landing, Unit 110 4180 Bayview St., along the boardwalk, according to window-covered signs.
The iconic donut shop is known for its fluffy donuts with its menu including traditional flavours such as honey glazed, chocolate dipped, dusted sugar, and raspberry and blueberry jam-filled donuts.
The donut business was started in 1979 by husband and wife duo Betty-Ann and Alan Lee at the Granville Island Public Market.
When Alan passed away in 2014, Betty-Ann ran the business on her own until she sold it in 2014 to Allan and Celine Bacani, who were long-time customers.
The new owners have since expanded Lee's Donuts with locations in Gastown, Bentall Centre downtown, Langley's Willowbrook Mall and a commissary in Marpole.
