The air is crisp, the leaves are turning red and there’s one thing left to complete the fall trifecta — a pumpkin patch.

Richmond Country Farms’ pumpkin patch, one of Richmond’s most popular attractions, is reopening for fall on Saturday, Sept. 30.

The pumpkin patch recently nabbed a top ten ranking as one of the best pumpkin patches in Canada.

The list, compiled by meal box company Chefs Plate, rated 40 pumpkin patches based on factors including price of admission, Google rating, total followers, Google searches between September to October 2022 and other attractions available on site.

Two B.C. pumpkin patches made the list, with Maan Farms in Abbotsford ranking first with 100 points and Richmond Country Farms closing off the list with 86.01 points.

Richmond Country Farms’ pumpkin patch has been around since the early 1980s and features other popular attractions including farm animals, wagon rides, live music and a corn maze.

The pumpkin patch will be open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on weekdays and 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on weekends and holidays. Tickets are $15 per person on weekdays and $18 on weekends and holidays.

Tickets are only available for purchase at the door and visitors are asked to bring their own bags.

For Richmondites looking for more pumpkins, GJ Farm at 11020 No. 4 Road’s pumpkin patch is still in progress and is set to open in around three weeks.
