A Taiwanese restaurant on Alexandra Road is shutting down this month after eight years of business.
Taiwan Taipei Original Pot (TTOP), a small eatery specializing in chicken dishes made with alcohol, recently announced its closure on Facebook.
The restaurant’s owner expressed his gratitude to all its customers during these past years.
“Our team would like to thank everyone for their support in the past eight years. We truly appreciate all the love and positive feedback that made us stronger,” the restaurant wrote on its Facebook page.
It added that June 18 would be its last day.
Many patrons of the store shared their thoughts about the closure notice.
Annie Su, whose family frequents the restaurant, told the Richmond News it is a "go-to spot" for many local food lovers.
"The eatery has been welcoming all customers with a warm, inviting atmosphere and the food there has never let me down. Hopefully, it will be a temporary goodbye,” said Su.
