BC Conservatives name fourth Richmond candidate

The provincial election is scheduled for Oct. 19.

Hon Chan is running for the BC Conservatives in Richmond Centre.

A journalist for Fairchild TV will be running in Richmond Centre in the fall provincial election under the BC Conservative banner.

Hon Chan, who has worked as a news anchor, assignment editor and talk show host, is the latest BC Conservative candidate named in the four Richmond ridings.

Chan will be running against BC United’s Wendy Yuan and incumbent BC NDP MLA Henry Yao.

Incumbent MLA Teresa Wat, who is running for re-election in the newly named Richmond-Bridgeport riding, recently switched from BC United to the Conservative Party of BC.

Running for the Conservatives against incumbent BC NDP MLA Kelly Greene is Michelle Mollineaux.

In Richmond-Queensborough, Steve Kooner, who runs a law practice in Surrey, is taking on BC NDP MLA Aman Singh for the Conservatives.

The election is scheduled for Oct. 19.
