Vancouver Coastal Health is warning of possible COVID-19 exposures at a Richmond elementary school and high school.
Thomas Kidd elementary and Hugh McRoberts secondary have both been added to VCH’s online list of school exposures.
There was a possible exposure to the virus at Thomas Kidd on Nov. 30 and Dec. 1, according to the health authority.
Meanwhile, there were possible exposures at Hugh McRoberts on Dec. 1 to 2 and Dec. 4.
A school “exposure” is when someone with the virus was at the school during their infectious period, according to VCH’s website, which adds that “in the vast majority of cases, there is no transmission in the school setting.”
VCH will post possible school exposures on its website when they feel that everyone who might have been exposed to the virus couldn’t be contacted directly.
There have also been exposures recently at Maple Lane elementary (Nov. 20, Nov. 24 to 25 and Dec. 1); William Bridge elementary (Nov. 30); Richmond Secondary (Nov. 24 to 27); Burnett secondary (Nov. 24 to 26); McNair secondary (Nov. 19 and Nov. 24 to 27); Hugh Boyd (Nov. 25 to 26 and Nov. 30); Steveston-London secondary (Nov. 24 to 26); and Tait elementary (Nov. 18 to 19 and Nov. 23 to 24).
