Vancouver Coastal Health has posted COVID-19 exposure warnings for several more Richmond schools.
The health authority has added five elementary schools and one secondary school in Richmond School District to its school exposures webpage.
There were exposures at Maple Lane elementary on April 28 to 29, William Cook elementary on April 28 to 30 and at Diefenbaker elementary on April 26 to 30.
James McKinney elementary was also flagged for an exposure, on April 26 to 27, as was Daniel Woodward elementary, where there were exposures on April 22 to 23 and April 26 to 28.
Steveston-London secondary was also flagged for an exposure, which occurred on April 26.
A school exposure occurs when someone with the virus is present in the school during their infectious period, according to the health authority.
However, this doesn’t mean there was transmission of the virus in the school.
Other exposures, which also occurred last month, were previously reported at Steveston-London and Diefenbaker, on April 20 to 23 and April 22 to 23, respectively. Also previously reported was an exposure at William Cook, on April 19 to 22.
Other recent exposures in Richmond schools include Blair elementary (April 26), Mitchell elementary (April 22 to 23), Hugh Boyd secondary (April 21 and 23), Gilmore elementary (April 21 to 23), Hugh McRoberts secondary (April 20 to 22) and Richmond Secondary (April 19 to 21 and April 23).
