A one-year-old dog, who was found abandoned and tied up outside the Richmond Animal Shelter, has found a new home.
Richmond Animal Shelter staff confirmed with the Richmond News on Wednesday afternoon that Lucy the German shepherd has been adopted and “is doing great in her new home.”
The “sweet and affectionate” dog - as described by staff at the BCSPCA-run facility - was found tied to a fence outside the No. 5 Road shelter more than four months ago.
BC SPCA staff made an appeal in the summer and again in early October through the News to help Lucy find a new family, which resulted in many inquiries, many of which came from News readers.
