If you fancy getting your lips around a Wee Angry Scot or an Old Rasputin Russian, there's only one place to be in Richmond Saturday night.
The only thing getting pulled, however, will be pints from the taps at a special celebration of beer at O'Hare's GastroPub on Steveston Highway at Railway Avenue.
One of them could be Russell Brewery's Wee Angry Scotch Ale or North Coast Brewery's Old Rasputin Russian Imperial.
It's all part of the Irish pub's first ever "Tap Takeover," kicking off around 6 p.m. and in conjunction with the Vancouver Craft Beer Week (VCBW).
It promises to be a dreamy, creamy night of beer heaven for all lovers of the brew with nine of the pub's 16 taps being commandeered by Russell Brewing and North Coast Brewing.
There will be two more special surprises in store for the punters with a Russell's brewmaster "tapping" a keg of a dry-hopped imperial double IPA in a wooden cask on the bartop at around 7 p.m.
And one of only six kegs of Cascadian Brown - brewed by a collaboration of 32 of B.C.'s local brewers especially for VCBW - will also be on tap.
"We've managed to snag one of them for Saturday night. It will be dark, toasty and rich," said Grant Bryan, who runs O'Hare's with wife, Erinn.
"We're going to pair it with one of our finest curries, made by our Indian Fijian chef, Samy.
"The VCBW kicks off on Friday with a big event downtown, but there are several events Saturday and ours is the only one outside of Vancouver on Saturday."
If sampling the Lower Mainland and B.C.'s finest ale and settling it down with a curry is not tempting enough, Bryan is determined to lure the remaining doubters in with a $4 a beer price tag.
"We're really trying to drive craft beer forward in Steveston," he said.
"It's about trying to make the beer inclusive instead of exclusive; the idea is to come along and try something different.
"Many people are set in their ways when it comes to buying groceries and even buying their beers."
All the beers on tap on Saturday are available in the pub's liquor store, Bryan added.
"This is the first Tap Takeover for us, we're really looking forward to it."
No reservations are required.
